In September 2008 the PhD Program welcomed its first cohort of PhD students admitted in the program full time on the Asia Campus.

Speaking at the inaugural PhD Opening Ceremony, INSEAD Dean Frank Brown said "INSEAD is the first of the world’s leading business schools to offer a PhD Program in Asia".

INSEAD welcomed the (Class of Sep 07') PhD students to the Asia Campus. There were a total of 11 students from 10 nationalities who attended classes here in Singapore for the first time in November-December 2007.
