European Business Summit - 21 - 22 February 2008

The European Business Summit is an initiative of the Confederation of European Business (BUSINESSEUROPE and the Federation of Enterprises in Belgium (FEB), with the support of the European Commission and the EU Presidency.

This year, the summit focused on Greening the Economy: New Energy for Business and took place in Brussels (Belgium). (click here to see the programme)

This 6th EBS gave more than 2500 business leaders and decision makers from over 50 countries a unique networking opportunity. CEOs, EU politicians, NGOs, academics and journalists from around the world exchanged views and presented solutions for a more competitive and a more sustainable European Union.

INSEAD Partnership
As the EBS knowledge partner, INSEAD signed an agreement for the provision of a research study investigating how Europe can become more competitive while reducing the EU contribution to climate change.

This year Frank Brown, Dean of INSEAD, was the moderator at the opening plenary session entitled ‘Creating a climate for change’ (21 February, 11h15 to 12h30) and Soumitra Dutta Dean of External Relations, INSEAD and Professor of Information Systems, was moderator for the workshop entitled ’Education: Managing Europe’s talent pipeline to drive Innovation’ (22 February, 11h30 to 11h45).
